2014, The drought

There have been few years when Britney has not had a song on the chart, or released a music video since the start her career in 1989.
There was 2006, 2010 and now 2014.
2014 has been a pretty boring year for Britney stans
There was the best pop artist win in January this year at the peoples choice awards
There's been the constant vegas shows
There's been new music rumours, and a photo from Britney from the recording studio
And of course the Lingerie line, and the countless interviews we got from that.

But nothing amazing why?
The GP needs a drought of Britney, they need to want her to come back.
Britney's been said to want to make her album "Arty-Fartsy" "Rock-Route" "A star-studded event" with her wanting to work with JLO, Iggy Azaela and Katy Perry, and she's been rumoured to have been working with William Orbit and Dr.Luke already.
All I can say is Britney knows she did us wrong with BJ, and the queen is coming back to claim whats hers!!

Britney is more than just...

Time to get personal...

Let's face it. You've heard someone say it, probably a family member or friend has said it to you. (My best friend and parents have) . And that is that Britney is a "Crazy Bitch" (Quoted from my mum who thinks she's crazy AND still is crazy because she was in a "loony home") and someone who Can't sing, and sings nothing besides sex and partying.

We all know about Britney's troubles in 2007.
I'd like to point out, since when does SHAVING YOUR HEAD MAKE YOU CRAZY?! Because i've been told this several times by friends/people and I mean...

As for the "Britney Can't sing"
Um yeah she can sing. If she couldn't use her vocal chords she wouldn't have gotten a 8 album recording contract in the first place. Her voice has a naturally deep tone, but back in 2001 she was forced by her label , JIVE, to sing in a higher than natural tone in order to be "pop" and more appealing to the public. I'm surprised she hasn't completely lost her voice after all these years.
Here are some examples of Britney singing, FULLY LIVE

Everytime (Live 2004- Onyx Hotel Tour in Switzerland)

Baby One More Time, Lucky & Oops I Did It Again ( Live 2000, The Today Show)

As for the "She doesn't sing about anything else than sex, let me give you some ideas.
Britney has, numerous countless times sang about love. Break ups. Most famously her ballad Everytime which was about her breakup with Justin Timberlake. The song showcases her sweet soft vocals, which show so much emotion. You don't have to belt to be a good singer you know ;)..
Another famous song, is a song called Rebellion ( I won't go fully into the story as i'm saving it for another blog post) but basically its a extremely personal song that never leaked online (and it cant be by law , many conspiracy theories about it ) and the song tells us about how she was basically used by the pop industry. Churned and spit out. She's almost warning us in a way.
Another song Mona Lisa ( she basically told her future in this one) which talks about a famous icon rising from the top, and then falling and being a legend of her fall.
Another song, My Baby, and Someday I will understand are songs relating to he pregnancy, and her love for her two children.
All these can easily be found on youtube, give them a listen they're some of her best work.

So I hope you take what I wrote seriously and thankyou for reading :) x

Introduction

"Little me, Please forgive me
I couldn't see you were hurting inside"
(Little Me/ For My Sister, an unreleased/leaked Britney song)

Let me just start this off with a little introduction. My name is Mitchell, at the time of writing i'm currently 17& living in Australia.
I've been obsessed with Britney since as long as I can remember.
It all started with my mum giving me her copy of the Baby One More Time album. I'm not sure of the exact date but it was pre-2003 so i'm guessing 2002. So anyways, A then 6 year old me was given the cd and later a portable cd player. It was the first musical experience I had ever had and it was a truly amazing one. I remember listening through the songs, ( I always did and still do skip Soda Pop)

The next thing I remember was seeing the Me Against The Music music video on tv. I was amazed and shocked for so many reasons. She had grown up so much ( at the time I thought this was her only album since BOMT) and who was that other girl) I didn't see the video any more so I had a lot of questions unanswered but more came in as I saw the Toxic video for the first time.
I was stunned by how amazing and futuristic the song and video looked and sounded. It was amazing. Shortly after that my Nan bought me the In The Zone album for my birthday. I would have been 7. I remember unwrapping it, and sliding off the plastic and holding it in my hands, with her big beautiful face staring back at me...

... I remember opening it and flipping through the album booklet and touching the cd. It was magical.
I didn't understand many of the songs, and only really listened to Me Against The Music, Toxic, Everytime, Brave New Girl, Shadow & The Answer. I got that boom boom scared me literally the ying yang twins scared me.

I then remember seeing the everytime video on tv and being shocked that she made a video for it because I knew that song from the album. I watched in dismay as she was hurled through the crowds of paparazzi. I was shocked at why this was happening to her. It felt real. And it WAS real. I watched the whole video unfold before my eyes and was shocked beyond belief.
The next thing I remember is seeing the photo for the Greatest Hits: My Prerogative cover in a target or Big W catalogue. I thought it was a whole new album, and instantly found it in the shops the next time I went shopping with my parents, and I bought it, the limited digipak edition.
I was amazed because half the album I had never head before ( I didnt own Oops I Did It Again & Britney at the time, didnt even know they existed). I was amazed at how much of a variety the album had.

Anyways, this is the starting memories of a then 6 year old me experiencing Britney for the first time. Thankyou for reading my introduction, I just thought I'd clear this up before I start writing blogs about mine and britney's life. Thankyou for reading..
